Job Description: AI/ML Engineer (Full-Stack)

We are seeking a talented AI/ML Engineer with robust full-stack development experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, React, HTML, CSS and Javascript, along with a strong foundation in backend APIs and knowledge of Generative AI techniques. This role will focus on research and development of contract intelligence workflows using AI, from initial prototyping to production deployment and will directly work with the CTO office as part of the AI / Innovation Lab.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement algorithms for a deeper understanding of unstructured documents and data.
• Collaborate with the CTO and the Product Manager for Innovation Lab to prototype and iterate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for AI-driven contract analysis and automation.
• Design and develop scalable, performant, and maintainable full-stack applications leveraging Python, React, HTML5, CSS and core Javascript.
• Integrate deployed AI models with backend APIs to enable seamless data exchange and processing.
• Deploy and maintain AI solutions in production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Conduct cost estimation and optimize resource usage for hosted AI models and cloud services.
• Utilize Vector Databases such as Mongo Atlas / Pinecone for efficient storage and retrieval of AI model embeddings.
• Implement and work with LLM (Large Language Model) frameworks like LangChain for advanced text analysis and understanding.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to best practices for AI and full-stack development.
• Stay updated with the latest AI/ML technologies and industry trends, and apply them effectively to enhance product capabilities.

Required Skills:

• Strong full-stack development experience with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Knowledge of Azure Open AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI for model deployment and management.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to estimate costs and optimize resource usage for hosted AI models and cloud services.
• Experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Mongo Atlas, Pinecone) for managing AI model embeddings.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks like LangChain for advanced text processing and analysis.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Good to have skills:

• Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development (NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) techniques for text analysis.
• Background in document intelligence and PDF parsing is an added advantage.
• Hands-on Experience with Open LLM models such as Falcon 180B or LLama and/or others from Hugging Face.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of Full-stack development and building Gen AI applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
